We have been continuously observing a large number of suspicious messages impersonating Peatix and event attendees. As a result of the countermeasures implemented to date, the delivery of these suspicious messages is now significantly suppressed.
Peatix is continuing to suspend the confirmed suspicious accounts and delete the relevant messages. We sincerely apologize once again to all customers who received these suspicious messages for the considerable burden and concern this has caused.
We are also working in parallel on preventive measures and will continue to monitor the situation closely. Should any new suspicious messages or accounts be identified, we will address them as they arise.
As noted on this page, please remain cautious of suspicious messages and never access the links contained in such messages or enter any personal information.
If you have any questions or concerns regarding this matter, please contact Peatix Support via the Help Center.
These messages are the work of malicious users attempting to direct recipients to external phishing sites, and are not the result of any breach of or unauthorized access to Peatix's systems.

A new type of suspicious message has been confirmed.
Until now, these messages impersonated "Peatix" or the "Peatix Security Team." More recently, however, suspicious accounts posing as event attendees have been sending messages to organizers with the aim of directing them to external sites.
In some cases, these can be difficult to distinguish from genuine inquiries from attendees, and we apologize for any inconvenience or concern this may cause. As a guide for identifying them, please refer to the following:
- If a message contains a link to an external site and encourages you to click it or enter information, please do not respond and delete it.
- For genuine inquiries from attendees (such as questions about event details or confirmation of items listed on a ticket), you may continue to respond as usual.
- If you are unsure how to proceed, please contact Peatix Support.
Peatix is progressively suspending the suspicious accounts we have identified and deleting the relevant messages. We are also working in parallel on measures to prevent recurrence. We will continue to monitor the situation closely and respond accordingly.

For your safety, we have deleted the suspicious messages from your Peatix message inbox.
Going forward, if we identify similar suspicious messages, or if we receive a report from you, we will take action such as removing the relevant messages in order to protect our customers.
※ What is the Peatix message box?
On a PC or smartphone browser: After logging in to your account, you can view it via the envelope icon at the top right of the screen.
In the Peatix app: After logging in from "Profile" at the bottom right of the screen, you can view it under "Messages" (the envelope icon).
When you receive a message on Peatix, an automated notification email is sent to the email address registered to your account. You can view messages both in the body of that notification email and in your Peatix message inbox.
This deletion applies only to messages within your Peatix message inbox. The automated notification emails have not been deleted, so please do not click any links contained in these suspicious emails.
We also ask that you review the precautions described on this page and remain cautious of suspicious messages.
If you have any questions or concerns, please contact Peatix Support through our Help Center.

We have confirmed multiple suspicious messages impersonating our service, "Peatix," and the "Peatix Security Team."
When someone sends you a message on Peatix, our system automatically sends a notification email (for example, with a subject line such as "アカウント確認が必要です" or "Account verification required"). That notification email is generated by Peatix, but the content and sender of the message itself are not from Peatix. A malicious third party is abusing our messaging feature to impersonate us. These are phishing messages designed to fraudulently obtain your personal information.
How to recognize these messages
Peatix will never ask you to verify your account, lift a suspension, or make a payment through a message. Any message demanding these actions, or pressuring you to act within a time limit, is not from Peatix.
What you should do
- Do not click any links. Never access the URLs contained in these messages or notification emails.
- Do not enter any personal information. Even if you open a link, never enter personal details such as your email address, password, or credit card information.
- Delete the suspicious message and its notification email without opening them.
If you have already entered your information
Please take action immediately based on what you entered.
- If you entered your Peatix password: Access the official Peatix website and change your password as soon as possible. If you use the same password on other services, we strongly recommend changing it there as well.
- If you entered credit card or bank account information: Contact your credit card company or financial institution immediately to suspend the card or account and prevent unauthorized use. We also recommend reporting the incident to the cybercrime consultation desk at your local police.
