We have confirmed multiple suspicious messages impersonating our service, "Peatix," and the "Peatix Security Team."

When someone sends you a message on Peatix, our system automatically sends a notification email (for example, with a subject line such as "アカウント確認が必要です" or "Account verification required"). That notification email is generated by Peatix, but the content and sender of the message itself are not from Peatix. A malicious third party is abusing our messaging feature to impersonate us. These are phishing messages designed to fraudulently obtain your personal information.

How to recognize these messages

Peatix will never ask you to verify your account, lift a suspension, or make a payment through a message. Any message demanding these actions, or pressuring you to act within a time limit, is not from Peatix.

What you should do

- Do not click any links. Never access the URLs contained in these messages or notification emails.

- Do not enter any personal information. Even if you open a link, never enter personal details such as your email address, password, or credit card information.

- Delete the suspicious message and its notification email without opening them.

If you have already entered your information

Please take action immediately based on what you entered.

- If you entered your Peatix password: Access the official Peatix website and change your password as soon as possible. If you use the same password on other services, we strongly recommend changing it there as well.

- If you entered credit card or bank account information: Contact your credit card company or financial institution immediately to suspend the card or account and prevent unauthorized use. We also recommend reporting the incident to the cybercrime consultation desk at your local police.
